„Natural“ help against Seizure Disorder / Epilepsy

Because my husband has a light form of Epilepsy himself („light“ just because of the amount of seizures – he suffers grand mal seizures, but only had 5 in his whole life yet), we searched for some things he could do by himself.

Because of the small amount, he isn’t on medication, so I searched for what we could do to support him in situations which can trigger seizures. This is what we found out and use ourselves.

Nobody has to try it out! But if you want to, it is not dangerous, and it might help. My husband didn’t had a seizure since he uses the Mugwort.

Sugilith

Many believe in the strength of stones. There are many various gemstones with various effects. One of them is the precious “Sugilith”.

I believe in the strength of those stones! When I have period pains, I always use a huge Malachit and it really works for me. The pain disappears within minutes. I cant tell about the Sugilith myself because I don’t have Epilepsy or Cancer or anything this stone helps against.

Sugilith isn’t very cheap,- but its not a big thing to try it out and it wouldn’t be able to make it worse. So I think its worth a try.

There are more than one stone which they say it helps against Epilepsy. Those are the others:
· Jaspis
· Lapislazuli
· Smaragd
· Turmalin
Maybe you even have one of those at home – just try it out! I would suggest you to google the stone you want. Some just wear it (and it’s a MUST to wear a healing stone directly on the skin, otherwise it wont work! ), and some lay the stone in water for a while and drink the water.
To get best effects, you need mountain crystal to “reload” the healing stone again. We used to let our healing stones lay on the mountain crystal pieces overnight. :3

The other one is a herb I really adore:

Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris)

The wild Artemisia is known to cause allergies, but this one is the herb we can plant in our garden. I have a middle stone (hydrate planter) where I have it in. I would suggest that everybody who wants to try this out, to use a flower pot or a hydrate planter, too, because it really grows and grows and if you have it in your garden, you might not be able to remove it again
The Mugwort is a very grateful herb – it survives even below -20 degree C ( - 4 Fahrenheit), its stipes grow up to 78 inches and it looks very nice =) My rabbits eat it , it’s a nice herb for fatty meals. Mugwort is available nearly the whole year, it appears in early March and you can use it until the first frost appears. Then you just cut it all away and send it to sleep – so It can grow again in spring =) You only should know its more bitter after its flowers have withered. You might Google it, to know more about it- In case I fail to explain it correctly =)

Also, it -> was<- known to help against epilepsy. That was the reason I planted it 3 years ago. I think, all the old healing herbs do have a true behind their legends. Artemisia / Mugwort isn’t dangerous, so I thought I d give it a try.

You can add its leaves to tea to drink it. My husband even ate directly some leaves in stress situations. (I just tried it out myself while writing this and drawing Damien in the header picture – it appears, its taste isn’t bitter before its blooming =) After the flowers withered, it has a bitter taste, so use it careful for meals;) ) We make every year a herb mix to dry and use on our meals. In this herb mix, I put in EVERY herb I grow in our garden, and those are OVER 20 !! So, we have Mugwort always with us, in our salads, meat, soups, sauces – everywhere.

You should NOT! Use Mugwort in the early pregnancy! But it shall help in labor when its time for birth ;)

Other herbs helping with Epilepsy :

Silverweed - (I never tried this)
Lavender - (I use it in my herb mix, too. Also, lavender is very beautiful, easy to grow and has a nice use in potpourri because of its fabulous smell. It also helps against moths! )

If you have questions feel free to ask =)
Maybe you feel like trying those out and learning more about heal-stones and herbs, too =)
